Case Study
Lea Valley Heat Network
The Lea Valley Heat Network was developed to supply low-carbon heat to residential and commercial properties across the Lea Valley area.
My Role:
As Managing Director, I was responsible for overseeing the delivery of this large-scale district heating project.
Challenges:
Implementing a heat network in a densely populated urban environment with diverse energy requirements while minimizing disruption to the community.
Solutions:
Under my leadership, the team installed a central energy centre equipped with combined heat and power (CHP) units and thermal storage. Heat was distributed through an extensive network of insulated pipes to supply connected homes and businesses.
Results:
The project delivered reliable, low-carbon heating to thousands of homes and businesses, contributing to local sustainability goals and significantly reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
